Children in Tanzania grow up in one of the poorest countries. Therefore, we founded a non-profit association to improve living conditions for children and adolescents through school and health advancement.
The association “WATOYO Tanzania e.V.” supports children and young adults from infancy until completion of a professional qualification. Our work focuses primarily on the field of education, health and nutrition.

We, that´s Carla and Sarah, …
… lost our hearts to the children and adolescents during our stay in Arusha, Tanzania in 2017.
We decided to found this association after we called for donations to finance the medical treatment a small boy needed urgently after breaking his leg while playing. Godsons mother was not able to pay the costly hospital stay and surgery, therefore we started collecting donations in our circle of friends and acquaintances. Overwhelmed by the resonance, we were able to finance his treatment.
Back in Germany, the idea to keep supporting the people in Arusha grew continuously. Later that year, we got started. A lot has happened since then and our small association has grown bigger and bigger.
Today, Godson plays football with his friends again, enjoying his boyhood.
